PROJECT TITLE:
Day in the Life of a Tattooist
CLIENT:
Mark Biddle Tattoo
BRIEF:
A documentary-style project capturing a day in the life of a tattoo artist, focused on the atmosphere, process, and personality behind the session through a combination of short-form video and 35mm stills.
Role:
Photographer, Videographer, Editor
Created a short-form video piece documenting the rhythm of the day, using my iPhone to capture natural, close-up moments throughout the session.
Shot accompanying 35mm stills on an Olympus mju ii, focusing on detail, texture, and the atmosphere of the tattoo environment.
Approached the project with a documentary mindset, capturing the process as it unfolded rather than staging moments, in order to create a more honest and immersive visual narrative.
Combined moving image and still photography to build a fuller portrait of the artist’s craft, space, and working day.
what i did:
The project reflects my interest in character-led storytelling and documentary-style content, showing my ability to translate everyday process into visually engaging, human-focused work across both video and stills.

TECHNICAL:
Short-form video captured on iPhone. Still photography shot on 35mm film using an Olympus mju ii.
