BRIEF:

A self-initiated editorial project blending fashion and documentary photography to capture the culture and atmosphere of a Liverpool FC matchday — not as sport coverage, but as a visual study of community, identity and style.

  • Developed the full creative concept: a 35mm fashion-meets-documentary zine exploring match day culture through styling, casting and location.

  • Led every stage of production: storyboarding, casting, styling direction, location scouting, photography and post-production.

  • Shot entirely on 35mm film (Olympus mju ii) to achieve a grainy, textured, authentic aesthetic.

  • Designed and laid out the final zine in InDesign, controlling sequence, pacing and visual rhythm across spreads.

RESULT:

Published as a zine and featured in the online Zine Gallery. The project demonstrates creative direction, full production ownership and the ability to build a cohesive visual narrative from concept to finished print piece.

BRIEF:

An ongoing personal documentary project capturing rave culture from the crowd’s perspective, focusing on the euphoric atmosphere, movement, and collective energy of live electronic music events.

Role:

Photographer, Editor

  • Shot the series entirely on 35mm film using an Olympus mju ii, documenting events from within the crowd rather than from an outside or press perspective.

  • Focused on capturing the physical and emotional intensity of the night — moments of movement, connection, light, and shared experience.

  • Approached the project with a documentary mindset, using candid image-making to reflect the rawness and immediacy of rave culture.

  • Built a body of work across multiple event spaces including All Points East, Overmono Presents WHP,, and X CLUB. at Hidden, creating a consistent visual language rooted in nightlife and youth culture.

The project reflects my wider interest in documenting subculture, atmosphere, and identity through an immersive visual approach. It has become a key personal body of work within my portfolio, showing my instinct for storytelling, timing, and culture-led image making.
